We're back....

So we did it. Didn't think it was going to happen, but it did. We took our much needed trip to warmer weather. We left Friday afternoon, but got out to Yuba lake and our car wouldn't go up hills, so we had to turn around and go back. I was on the border of a very emotional breakdown. I was sure this was just another horrible thing to add to the horribly long winter, but my Mom and Dad let us borrow their car. We ended up leaving Saturday morning and stopped in Vegas to visit some good friends. We stayed the night with them and left the next morning. The drive to Santa Monica was FOREVER long and that's when the kids started fighting and driving us nuts. That drive, which was just shy of 6 hours, felt longer than our all day drive back. Anyway, so we stopped by the beach for about an hour Sunday night. It was pretty cold, but a beach none the less. The next day was our all day adventure at Disney. It was perfect!!! We made it on about 20 rides and our average wait was around 20 min a ride. Some we just walked right on. Like Splash Mountain, Pirates, and a few of the kids rides. The weather was just about 70* and clear. It was heaven!!! We had a blast with the girls. I think I can now emotionally make it through the rest of this winter. Thanks Bri. You're the best husband for understanding how important this trip was to me! (Just a little side note, when we were heading back home when our car broke down, he said, well, if we can't make it there, I can fly you somewhere with the money we would have used on our trip. I'll fly you out to Hawaii if you want to go there. How sweet was that?!)

For my biggest fans.....

I got such a response about seeing a picture of me. I didn't know how loved I was I guess. Well I had a photoshoot today, not of me. I was taking one of a friend's baby and Bri wanted to try out for himself, so I sat there while he snapped one off. I didn't smile as you can see, but he really liked the picture, so for my fans out there.... this one's for you. :)

-- for those who told me I look good for being almost 19 weeks pregnant, thank you. It's always nice to hear. Also, our ultrasound is scheduled for March 7th, so be looking to see what it is around then.

Eyes...

That's all I can say about this picture....eyes.

Making a pillow case

Elizabeth has been carrying around and sleeping with this pillow form with no case on it, so I had this cute fabric and told her we should make a pillow case. I think I scared her a little when I told her to watch her fingers around the needle. She didn't want her finger to get sewn off. We did it without shedding any blood though and she liked it. It's always fun to see nothing turn into something.

Oh I wish...

I am so sick of snow. I know, what do you expect living in Utah, but who cares. I need to see some green grass, and those colorful things that grow out of the grass. What were they called? Oh yeah. Flowers. Oh I miss it. The warmth, the color. Ahhhhhhhhhh. My stinkin' sister is the blog I love the most these days because she's in sunny Hawaii and goes to the beach and is tan. Remember what that is? Being tan. OH I miss that too. I know, vain, but whatever. Anyway, so to post something more of what I long for than what I'm living in, here are a few pics from the graduation trip Bri and I took after he graduated. Can't believe it's been almost 2 years. Time for another one!!!

Ice Skating

Brian finally felt good enough to take Elizabeth ice skating this weekend. She'd been looking forward to it for the last few weeks, but through all the sickness in our house, it took a few weeks to get them both well enough to go. Anyway, they had a great time. Thought these daddy daughter pictures were cute.

Things that make me happy.....

So the other day I guess I was being overly happy (whatever that is) according to Brian and he was like, "why are you in such a good mood? You're never this happy, you're always like, "I hate my life. I need to get away." So I was kind of caught off and looking back, I wouldn't say anyone would say I'm a happy person. Not that I'm unhappy, but if someone asked, "do you think Michelle is a happy person", I'd be willing to venture that most people would say no. You know, there are some people you just look at and say, "now there's a happy person". I've often felt those people were a little too cheery or cheesy for my liking, but why wouldn't you want to be one of those people? Anyway, so everyone has been sending these "tagged" things around and I typically think they are a waste of time, well, for me anyway. I enjoy reading them, just not doing them, but I thought I should do something that lets most people know I am a happy person, it just might not show. So here are 10 things that make me happy....

1. Looking at a picture of me and thinking "hey, I actually like the way I look in that one".
2. Seeing the pounds drop on my scale, even if it's only .8 lbs
Yes, there are other things besides shallow weight things that make me happy......
3. When Caroline says "thanks Mommy" in her throaty deep voice

4. When I put the kids to bed and they stay there

5. A sweet cream mixed with raspberries in a sugar cone ice cream from Cold Stone

6. When Brian takes me on a date and plans it all, including the babysitter

7. When I see the girls playing together and hugging eachother and saying how they love eachother

8. Taking a trip anywhere really. Love Mexico, anywhere with a beach and a chance to relax

9. Having no credit card debt (actually, I can't remember what that feels like, but I have the hope of feeling that one again!)

10. A really good romantic comedy

11. When I feel like I'm in a romantic comedy with Bri :)

12. An unexpected sign of affection or thoughtfulness

13. When my kids are sweet and kind to everyone and tell me they love me

14. Seeing the kids do something sweet for someone else

15. Taking a great picture or capturing the perfect moment on film (or digital media)

16. Sleeping through the whole night and not waking up

17. A day alone

18. Doing something fun with the kids and watching their expressions

19. Date night

20. Spring

21. Summer nights

22. Lack of snow!!!

--- okay, that was a few more than 10, but now you know.

And just because I feel like there always has to be a picture........

Cooper 11 mo.

Well Cooper turned 11 months on Saturday and it almost escaped me. Woops. I really wanted to get a cute picture of him, but you know how Sunday mornings go. No time and no set up. He was dressed so cute though, so I snapped a few. I need to set up my studio so I can stop getting all the pics infront of our blue kitchen wall!!! Anyway, he looked like such a little man. I love it. So cute and fun. I know they probably all look the same to you, but not to me of course.
