Mother's Day
Wouldn't it be nice if every day were Mother's Day? Well I guess not really 'cause then I wouldn't really appreciate it. It started Saturday for me. We had a great day hanging out as a family and doing yard work. A little later on Brian watched the kids while I went to a bridal shower. After I got back, Brian took us all out to dinner which was nice because I didn't want to think of something to cook for dinner.... again. Then I came home and got Cooper in the bed and Brian took the girls out shopping. The next morning I woke up to Brian starting on dinner and then making me breakfast. He's the best french toast maker! I got the little gifts from the kiddos which the picked out themselves. Roses from Elizabeth and Twix candy bars from Caroline. Brian gave me a day to pamper myself. Can't go wrong with that. Brian took Cooper during RS eventhough he was teaching YM, so that gave me a chance to actually listen. After church Brian got all the dinner finished and the table set, with some help from Elizabeth. We had all my family over for dinner. It was a great day. Brian did so much from making me meals to changing diapers (which he does anyway everyday) to cleaning the kitchen after 13 people. He even made fresh strawberry pie and banana cream pie which were all finished off by the time the night was over. Then, to top it off, he gave me a footrub. What a man!!! It was a great day. Here are a few pics of the nuggest I love.

Summa Summa Summa Time
Although it's really only Springtime, it's warm enough to make it feel like summer. It's so nice to be outside in warm weather. THe girls have been having fun with a little sprinkler toy. Coop's not really a big fan of it, but we get him dressed just in case.

So when I changed my background, I lost all my info on others blogs, so if you don't see your name, don't be offended, I just can't seem to remember everything anymore. :) So if you don't see your name on there, please leave a comment with your blog address so I can add it on the list. Thanks. :)

I'm back
Well most of you probably don't know I was gone for several days for my Papa Cooper's funeral. He passed away last Thursday and I flew out on Saturday through Tuesday. Of course it was very sad, but it was also very sweet. I was glad I was able to go. We had a lot of people help out with the kids to make it possible and for that I am very grateful. Brian did full time duty a few days too. He's a great daddy. It was great to be around all the family and it was a nice break to be traveling alone, although I did miss the kiddos. Tuesday morning was the only time outside of the funeral plans, so I had a chance to get out and enjoy the weather. Charleston is one of my favorite cities. So much history and just cute. I had to stop by the beach, eventhough I didn't swim. Just had to get in my beach fix. It was a rushed trip, but a good one. Just posting a few pics.

Story time...
So I feel so boring. I haven't had anything great to report and haven't taken any really great pics. I've had the whole tagging thing sent my way, but I just can't imagine that there are 50 interesting things about me. I'll have to try at that one later. So I thought I'd leave you all with a story....
It all happened almost 5 years ago. There I was with my dear friend Alicia. She and her husband were house sitting for a family in the ward and we were heading over there with our babies, Elizabeth and Berlynn, for a girls night.
The roads in Pennsylvania can be very winding and make it hard to see oncoming traffic. Well, as timing would have it, we were coming up the hill and this punk kid went through his stop sign smashing right into the back rightside tire of my car. We sat there in a little bit of shock and just pulled off the side of the road to "take care of business". As if you would only expect to see in a movie, the kid sped off. "Oh no he doesn't", I said. Okay, I didn't really say that, but looking back it would have been the perfect thing to say. Luckily for me, but not so much for the kid, my car was still in driving condition, so I flipped it around and chased that little sucker for about 10 min. Alicia was prepared with her cell phone and called for back up. Well, she called for the police, but we didn't really need them. :)
As I stated earlier, the roads were very windy (sp), not to be mistaken for wind blowing. We were going almost 50 through residential roads and now looking back, probably not the best idea. Anyway, me and my bad (meaning good)skills trapped these little suckers in a driveway in a circle. Right as that happened Alicia said the cop said, "don't block them in and don't get out of the car". Well, by the time she relayed this to me, I was already out of the car yelling. I know what you're thinking, me yell, not possible, but true. :) Then this kid tried to convince me that he didn't know he hit me. I was like, " then why the heck were you speeding away from me for the past 5 min? You idiot." I didn't actually say idiot, but for sure thought it. Anyway, cops came and took care of business. His parents came and I thought boy is he gonna get it, but they were retarded and we won't get into that. After all calmed down I replayed the incident in my head and thought of what an idiot I was. Here I am with two babies in the back, speeding through crazy residential roads, chasing down who knows who and trapping them and then, being dumb enough to get out of the car and yell at them. Although we weren't in the city, who's to say they wouldn't have had a gun and killed me. It was a pretty common news story each night. But I'm a tough motha', so it all worked out fine.
So there ya have it.

Date night
So last night we redeemed our Christmas gift from Mellie and Greg. It was for them to babysit our kids while we went on a date. It was great. We went and saw 21, which we liked, but can't recommend because of the stupid strip club scenes. Then we went to dinner and just had a nice relaxing time. It's nice to go out and not worry about the money you're shelling out on a babysitter and know they're being taken care of. They had a fun time. Here's a picture to prove it. Thanks Mel and Greg!
